Kick-off Meeting – DiabForeAI

Tessera’s project team held the kick-off meeting within the framework of its participation in the research project «Innovative Digital System for Hypoglycemia Prediction and Diabetes Self-Management Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies» (DiabForeAI), with project code OPSKE EKPAR03-0059004.

The meeting took place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Tessera’s offices, The overall implementation framework was presented, the work packages, deliverables, and timeline were analyzed, and the team’s commitment to the proper and timely execution of its responsibilities was confirmed, with the aim of the successful completion of the project.

DiabForeAI is included in the “Research – Innovate Action (Intervention III: Utilization of Research Results) and concerns the expansion of the forDiabetes application, which constitutes a useful tool for patients with diabetes. The new version will integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies with the aim of:

  • Timely prediction of hypoglycemic episodes through machine learning algorithms.
  • Prevention of dangerous situations for patients.
  • Enhancement of disease self-management with personalized support.
  • Support for doctors and healthcare staff with tools for better monitoring and data utilization.
  • Improved user experience through the addition of new functionalities, such as an SOS button, examination records, wearables support, integration with medical devices, and optimized UI/UX.
